Searchable answers about EQUINEWS EA: strategy, licensing, brokers, risk, setup, VPS and troubleshooting.

What is EQUINEWS EA?

EQUINEWS EA is a news straddle Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 4 and 5. Around scheduled high-impact USD economic releases it places a Buy Stop and a Sell Stop, then manages the trade with a stop loss and a dynamic trailing stop. It trades around the news instead of all day.

Which news events does it trade?

High-impact USD economic releases. The EA loads the weekly schedule automatically from an online economic calendar, so you never have to enter news times by hand.

How does the EA get the news schedule?

Once a week, and whenever you press REFRESH CALENDAR on the dashboard, the EA downloads the weekly calendar through a WebRequest. You must allow the calendar URL in MetaTrader (see Setup & Installation). If the download fails, the automatic slots stay off and the dashboard shows the reason. Please do not press REFRESH repeatedly, because the public feed limits requests.

When does it place orders?

A few seconds before the release the EA places the Buy Stop and the Sell Stop at the distance you set, keeps them aligned with price, and stops modifying them about one second before the news. Pending orders that were not triggered are deleted shortly afterwards. All timings are inputs you can adjust.

Can it trade buy only or sell only?

Yes. Choose Buy Only, Sell Only or Buy and Sell together as a straddle in the EA inputs.

How often does it trade?

Only around scheduled releases, so activity is concentrated around monthly US data instead of continuous trading. Expect quiet periods between trades.

Which symbol and timeframe should I use?

Our live accounts trade gold (XAUUSD). Attach the EA to one chart of the symbol you want to trade. The EA works on ticks and time, so the timeframe does not matter. We run it on M1.

What does a license cost and what is included?

See the pricing section for current prices. Every plan includes the EA for MT4 or MT5 (your choice), updates during the license, installation help, priority reply messages and use with any broker. The 6 Months plan covers 1 trading account, 1 Year covers 2 and Lifetime covers 3.

How do I pay?

Click Buy Now on the plan you want and send the exact USDT amount on the TRON (TRC20) network to the wallet address shown. Then send the transaction screenshot, your MetaTrader account number and platform to us on Telegram. We activate your license and send you the EA file.

How is my license verified?

When you attach or refresh the EA it checks your MetaTrader account number with our license server, and then once per day. You can see your status at any time on the license page.

What happens when my license expires?

The EA pauses: it opens no new orders, removes its own pending orders and stops updating the calendar. Positions that are already open are still managed until they close. The dashboard and an alert tell you why. After you renew, refresh or re-attach the EA, or wait for the next daily check.

The EA says my account is not registered. What should I do?

Your account number is not on our license list yet. Send your MetaTrader account number, your platform (MT4 or MT5) and your payment proof to us on Telegram and we will register it. Make sure the EA is attached to the same account you registered.

Do I get updates?

Yes. The 6 Months and 1 Year plans include updates during the license period, and Lifetime includes all future updates.

Which platform should I choose, MT4 or MT5?

Choose the platform your broker account uses. You pick it when you order.

Can I change my broker, account number or terminal?

Yes. Confirm the change with us on Telegram and we update your registration. Moving the same account and platform to a new VPS or computer needs no change, because the license is tied to the account number and platform, not to the terminal.

Which brokers can I use?

The EA works with any broker. Choose one with tight spreads, fast execution and no restrictions on pending orders or EA trading. Our public track records run on three different brokers, shown in the Portfolio section.

What account type is best?

A raw-spread or ECN account with low commission and fast execution suits news trading best. Because both sides can trigger in fast markets, we recommend a hedging account where your broker offers one.

How much capital do I need?

The EA has no fixed minimum. Our public accounts started with $300 to $500. Position size follows your balance with Auto Lot, or a fixed lot that you choose. Start small and increase only when you are comfortable.

Do you offer demo accounts?

No. We do not provide demo accounts or demo licenses, and licenses are registered for live trading accounts. Our public track records on MQL5 show how the EA behaves, and you can start with a very small lot on your own account.

Does the EA guarantee profit?

No. Trading carries a high level of risk and past performance, including our public signals, does not guarantee future results. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.

What are the risks of news trading?

Spreads can widen sharply, prices can jump and orders can fill at a worse price than planned, especially in the seconds around a release. Results on another broker or account can differ from our live accounts.

How does the EA manage risk?

Each trade has a stop loss and a dynamic trailing stop, and the EA corrects the stop loss when a fill slipped. Position size follows your balance with Auto Lot, or a fixed lot that you choose.

Are your results real?

Our three live accounts are public on MQL5 and shown in the Portfolio section. They are young accounts with a small number of trades, which MQL5 itself flags, so please treat them as early evidence and not as a promise.

How should I start?

Start with a small lot, confirm that the dashboard shows License: ACTIVE and the calendar loaded, and increase your size only gradually.

How do I install the EA?
  1. In MetaTrader choose File > Open Data Folder.
  2. Copy the EA file into MQL5\Experts (MT5) or MQL4\Experts (MT4).
  3. Restart MetaTrader or refresh the Navigator.
  4. Drag the EA onto a chart, tick Allow Algo Trading and press OK.
  5. Allow the WebRequest URLs (next question).
Our team helps with installation on request.
Which URLs do I need to allow for WebRequest?

Two: the calendar URL shown in the EA inputs, and our license server. Type them exactly, starting with https://. In MetaTrader open Tools > Options > Expert Advisors, tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL, add https://www.equilabs.trade (and, to be safe, https://equilabs.trade) plus the calendar URL, press OK, then re-attach the EA.

How do I know the EA is ready?

The dashboard on the chart shows the calendar status (OK, with the number of events found) and License: ACTIVE. If either one shows a problem, the dashboard tells you what to do.

Can I run it on several charts?

One chart per account is enough. Running the same EA on several charts of one account can create duplicate orders.

Do I need to change any settings?

The defaults are ready to use. You can adjust the trading mode, lot size, distance, stop loss and trailing stop for each news event in the EA inputs.

Do I need a VPS?

A VPS is strongly recommended. The EA only trades around news releases, but MetaTrader must be running and connected at those moments. A VPS keeps it online with a stable connection. A home PC works only if it stays on and online around every release.

What kind of VPS should I use?

Any reliable Windows VPS works. Choose a location close to your broker's trading server for lower latency, and make sure MetaTrader starts automatically after a reboot.

What happens if MetaTrader restarts?

When MetaTrader starts again with the EA still on the chart, the EA re-checks your license and reloads the calendar. If a restart happens right around a release, the orders for that release may not be placed.

Does the EA need a constant internet connection?

It needs your broker connection to trade. The license is checked once per day and the EA tolerates up to 72 hours of license server downtime. The news calendar is downloaded once a week.

The dashboard says WEBREQUEST NOT ALLOWED.

The address is not in the allowed list of the terminal where the EA runs. Check that: the option Allow WebRequest for listed URL is ticked; https://www.equilabs.trade is typed exactly, including https:// and www (adding https://equilabs.trade as well does no harm); you changed the list in the same MetaTrader that runs the EA, if you have several installed. Then press OK and re-attach the EA. The Experts tab shows the exact error.

The dashboard says LICENSE EXPIRED or NOT REGISTERED.

Check your status on the license page and contact us on Telegram. After your license is renewed or registered, refresh or re-attach the EA.

The calendar did not load.

Check that the calendar URL is allowed for WebRequest. Error 4014 means the URL is not in the allowed list. HTTP 429 means the feed is rate limited: wait a few minutes and press REFRESH CALENDAR once.

The EA did not place orders at news time.

Check that: the Algo Trading button is on; the EA is allowed to trade; the license is active; the calendar is loaded and the event is listed on the dashboard; MetaTrader is connected; your broker's minimum stop distance is smaller than the distance in the EA inputs. The Experts tab shows the details.

Orders are rejected because of invalid stops.

Your broker's minimum stop distance is larger than the distance or stop loss set in the EA. Increase those inputs slightly and try again.

Where can I read the EA log?

Open the Toolbox in MetaTrader and choose the Experts tab. Send us a screenshot if you need help.
